Sometimes we needed to visit social media to find more information. We also compared the location presented on each service’s website and compared it to the WHOIS database. Our goal was to find any information on licensing, data protection, liability limitations, the location of the service, and the use of the submitted content. On every website, we checked such sections as Terms of Service, Frequently Asked Questions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimers, and so on. We identified free tools and tools that didn’t work (the latter were removed from the list). After this, we visited websites that we found and made a list of tools. We searched the web using such keywords as “plagiarism software,” “online plagiarism detection,” “plagiarism scanner,” “plagiarism analysis,” “plagiarism test,” “online plagiarism checker,” etc. Are plagiarism checkers reliable and helpful?.Are these services actually free, do they have any hidden fees?.Is plagiarism software safe? Does it protect your data? What happens with the submitted content?.We decided to answer some important questions about plagiarism detectors: Here you may find a little investigation about plagiarism detection systems prepared by the PaperDueNow researchers.
